Selected for the 2017 Decorator Showcase, the grand 1904 estate will be open to the
public on April 29.

The biggest event in interior design is but a few weeks away. But before the 2017 Decorator Showcase opens its doors (April 29 - May 29), let’s take a look at the home that will showcase this year’s flock of designers.

The house is a Classical Revival mansion at 2698 Pacific Avenue. Coming in at 11,000 square feet, the residence was designed by architects Newsom and Newsom in 1904.

Some of the beautiful original details have bene maintained over the years, including carved mantles, staircase metalwork, and stained glass. We can’t wait to see what the designers do to the space this years.

In 2015, while undergoing a major renovation, it landed on the market for a cool $13.5 million. Although the home looks a touch different now—and will look even more vivid and bold come Decorator Showcase season—here are some before images of the stately home, giving you a taste of its bones and structure.
